Day in the Life

Staff and learners start arriving at school for the academic day.

Academic staff meet for reflection and general staff meeting to plan the day ahead.

School bell rings for the start of the day and learners meet in FET and GET quads for morning reflection and announcements. First register taken.

First lesson for the day commences. Thursdays the entire school (Primary and High) attend Mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Second period of the day.

Third period  of the day. On Tuesdays the High School gather together in the school hall for Assembly.

First break.  Learners can buy their eats from the tuck shop or have their packed lunches from home.

End of first break, learners meet in FET and GET quads for mid-morning reflection and general announcements.

Home room – Mentor teachers and learners meet to consolidate registers and do administrative business.

Periods 4, 5 & 6.

Lunch break – boarders have lunch in the Boarding House dining hall, day scholars enjoy their packed lunches from home or the ‘meal-of-the-day’ from the tuck shop.  Learners change for afternoon activities.

Start of the afternoon programme as learners meet in FET and GET quads for afternoon reflection, announcements and then go to their afternoon activities.

14h40–15h50

Learners partake in the afternoon programme designed to accommodate each learner's needs. Activities include choir, marimba, soccer, netball, basketball, volleyball, speech & drama, rugby, chess, other board games, and extra classes in subject learning areas.

School day ends and day scholars leave in their public transport or parents collect from school.
